A Tomb To a View in Mill Valley

Here's another Mill Valley winner. 1006 sq ft, 3 bedrooms, built in 1952. According to the realtor write-up all that has been done to it is a new carpet and a fresh coat of paint; as you can see, no landscaping. $749,000 and you too could be living "the good life" in Marin. Never mind the fact that it is located in one of the worst areas of Tam Valley and is right across from a cemetery. I hear cemeteries make excellent playgrounds for young kids. So this is also a great property to raise your family in. But hey! Anything to live in Marin, right? Besides, everyone knows that house prices in Marin appreciate 20% per year forever. So no worries.

That home has a deathly pallor. You're right; all it needs is a hearse parked in front.

Hey Marinite,

I just saw one of your previous PoS posts (the blue rancher in Terra Linda, I think) listed on Craigslist for $715K with the banner "Price drastically reduced! Last week before owner takes the property off the market"

Last week before the owner takes it off the market?? Gee, I hope they aren't getting upset. . .I better hurry and get my neg am loan.

I noticed the house has "1 car garage with loft storage". Is that what people call it now when you can store crap in the rafters above the car?

Seriously though the one he had as a POS didnt have any updates either.

The San Rafael house that was posted here on 11/25/05 under "Living the Mac & Cheese Lifestyle in San Rafael" looks to me to be the same house now on Craigslist at: http://www.craigslist

Not an Eichler in any event.

It was $755, now $715.

You're right though - it is in San Rafael "proper" - not Terra Linda.

Isn't Terra Linda actually part of San Rafael?

Just think, if they laid some lawn down, they could ask $799K. Easy flip! j/k

Ya Terra Linda is part of SR, but much nicer than the other SR locales IMO, ok except maybe the hood along Loch Lamond.
